Sea Glass Necklace - Rare Bottle Stopper Pendant - Scottish Jewellery
Sea Glass Necklace - Aqua Green Celtic Spiral Wire Wrapped Pendant - Scottish Silver Jewellery An aqua green sea glass pendant made from the top of an antique bottle stopper - a rare find! I've included a couple of photos of similar ones I've found - there would have been a stem attached but this has broken off in the sea to leave an almost perfect circle! The sea glass has been frosted and worn smooth after decades of tumbling in the Scottish sea! This colour of green is evocatively known as 'sea foam'. The necklace is wire-wrapped with silver-plated wire and features a sweet little wave. The sea glass itself is approximately 2cm high. The necklace comes with a silver-plated snake chain with an extender on it which can be worn between 16-18 inches. It arrives gift-wrapped in a pretty box with a free silver cleaning cloth, making it a perfect present for anyone who loves the sea and its natural treasures! (Item: 4219) Product Details: Handmade in Scotland with genuine Fife sea glass Sea glass size approx. 2cm high Adjustable silver-plated snake chain for a perfect fit (16-18 inches) Gift box included – ideal for gifting Free silver cleaning cloth to keep it sparkling! Save £5 when you buy a necklace and pair of earrings together! Simply add both to your basket and use code: JEWELLERYSET Complete your set: earrings - bracelets - necklaces and pendants All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
