The movement is the thing you keep coming back to. The Alpha calibre is hand-wound, Glashütte-finished with rhodium plating, perlage, and tempered blue screws — and through that exhibition caseback you can actually see all of it. At this price point, very few watches give you that level of finishing visible on the wrist. The reverse California dial is the other standout: Arabic numerals up top, Roman at 4 and 8, with that orange small seconds hand cutting through the dark grey. It's a design that shouldn't work but absolutely does. At 38.5mm and just 8.5mm thick, it sits flat and disappears under a cuff — but the lugs run long as they do on all Nomos Clubs, so try before you commit if you're under 6.5" wrists. Comes with a spare Nomos velour strap in the box.
