Unseen is the complex web of life that the tree harbours, camouflaged, microscopic, nocturnal, and nondescript.About the artist.Helen Placanica is a botanical artist who uses watercolour and graphite to depict the bold and often bizarre but always beautiful Australian native plants, and occasionally birds and feathers and seashells. Helen is a member of the Botanical Artists Society of Australia and the Queensland Wildlife Artists Society, and has exhibited works locally in Brisbane, on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, receiving a Highly Commended Award at the BASA “Wildlife in Colour” exhibition, and was a selected exhibitor at the 2025 the Worldwide “Beautiful Botanicals" art exhibition in Canberra. Between undertaking private commissions, Helen works in court reporting, plays bad golf and reasonable mah-jong, and conducts botanical art workshops at the Plant Empire creative space.Collection or delivery.This item is part of the Plant Empire Small Wonders Exhibition 2026, on display from 9 May - 7 June.
