1998 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa

This 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was specified in Ocean Blue Metallic with a Boxster Red Special Leather interior. The car spent time in Colorado before relocating to California in 2015, and it was purchased by the current owner in 2023. Powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed Tiptronic transaxle, it features 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a power-operated glass roof panel, cruise control, heated power-adjustable front seats, power windows, a CD stereo, a HiFi sound system, and air conditioning. This 993 Targa is offered on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, a Carfax report, and a California title. The 993 Targa was based on the convertible bodyshell and featured a revised roof with a lifting and sliding glass center section as opposed to the removable top found on earlier 911 Targa models. This example is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic and features headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The Special leather-trimmed steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer has been replaced and now shows 42k miles. The selling dealer notes that the previous odometer showed 85k kilometers (~53k miles) prior to the replacement. The Carfax report shows a history of Not Actual Miles-branded titles starting in July 2004. The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque.
