Elite Shungite, also known as Noble Shungite or Type I Shungite, is the highest-carbon grade of natural Shungite. Elite Shungite typically contains approximately 90–98% carbon. Unlike standard black Shungite, Elite Shungite has a distinctive silvery, metallic appearance, irregular raw formation and naturally high carbon content. Each piece is left completely raw and unpolished, preserving its natural shape, texture and character. No two pieces are ever the same. Traditionally, Shungite has been valued as a mineral stone for water rituals, meditation and spiritual practices. How to Use Elite Shungite in Water Elite/Noble Shungite has a long tradition of being placed in water, making it a beautiful addition to your daily water ritual. To use: Rinse your raw Shungite thoroughly under running water before first use. Raw pieces can naturally release fine black mineral/carbon particles, so rinse repeatedly until the water runs clear. Place your Shungite into a glass jug or container of drinking water. Allow it to sit for approximately 6–12 hours or overnight. Pour your water from the vessel as required, leaving the Shungite in the bottom. Remove and thoroughly rinse the pieces regularly and allow them to air dry completely between uses. Please note: As this is a completely natural raw material, every piece varies in weight, shape, colour and texture. Natural fractures, uneven surfaces and shedding can occur and are part of the character of genuine raw Shungite.
