Ceramic Chinese Tea Caddy for Loose Tea, Hand-Painted Bamboo 300 ml

This ceramic tea caddy has a quiet, understated character, with a hand-painted green bamboo motif applied beneath the glaze. Its pale green base sits somewhere between sage and olive, creating a soft, muted colour that feels calm rather than attention-seeking. Together with the bamboo decoration, it gives the caddy a tranquil, slightly antique look. The body has a distinctive square shape with gently inward-curving, concave corners, giving the caddy an elegant silhouette while making it comfortable to hold. The glazed ceramic has a substantial, high-quality feel in the hand, with a weight of approximately 220 g. With a capacity of around 300 ml, the amount of tea the caddy can hold varies depending on the size, shape and density of the leaves. As a practical reference, we tested it with several teas: approximately 100 g of Jasmine Pearls, 90 g of Lapsang Souchong, 40 g of Tie Guan Yin, or 40 g of Da Hong Pao. If used for coffee, the caddy should hold roughly 100–120 g of roasted coffee beans, depending on the size and roast of the beans. The ceramic body and lid protect the contents from light and also help buffer them from changes in ambient temperature. The inside of the lid is finished with woven cloth, creating a snug fit and helping reduce exposure to humidity. With its subdued green glaze, hand-painted bamboo and antique-inspired appearance, this Chinese tea caddy fits naturally into a calm, understated tea setting. It is a practical piece for storing loose leaf tea, but also a ceramic caddy that brings a quiet sense of character to a tea table, shelf or tea room.
