4th Gen Adjustable Crash-Tested Dog Car Crate Product overview The MIMSafe VarioCage Single Medium is an adjustable dog car crate designed to provide a secure, protective space for one dog during vehicle travel while leaving room in the boot for luggage. The crash pulse used is based on ECE Regulation No. 17. The built-in deformation zone is designed to allow controlled compression along the vehicle's crumple zone during a collision, helping reduce the risk of direct impact being transferred towards rear-seat passengers. The crate is designed to be shockproof in all directions. The VarioCage should be installed behind the vehicle's rear seat and secured to the vehicle's cargo loops. When installing the crate, use at least two straps to secure it in the boot and prevent movement during transport. After a collision, the VarioCage should be taken out of use. The structure uses splinter-proof and energy-absorbing materials and is designed to provide protection from impacts in multiple directions. The door incorporates reinforced construction, a built-in lock and gas-assisted opening. Door handles can also be used as convenient storage pockets.
