Sailor 115th Anniversary Hiroshima Momiji

Created to commemorate Sailor Pen’s 115th anniversary, the HIROSHIMA Momiji celebrates the company’s roots in Hiroshima through a material closely associated with the prefecture. Its cap and barrel are crafted from Momiji, or Japanese maple, grown in the mountains of Hiroshima, giving the pen a direct connection to the region where Sailor was founded. Momiji has been designated as the symbolic tree of Hiroshima Prefecture since 1966. For this anniversary edition, Sailor uses the natural wood with an oil finish that preserves and emphasizes its individual grain, coloration, and texture. Because of the natural variation in the material, each pen develops its own distinct appearance. The warm character of the Momiji wood is complemented by gold-tone metal fittings and Sailor’s large 21K bicolor gold nib. Produced specifically in Medium Fine for this commemorative model, the nib combines Sailor’s characteristic writing feel with decorative detailing suited to the significance of the anniversary edition.
