Shiraz – International Wine Awards Michelangelo 2011 – Gold Medal A dense ruby wine exhibiting a nose of dark chocolate, leather spice and caramel. The palate is full and rich with a well structured fruit and acid balance. Extended skin contact and ageing in small French oak barriques have contributed added complexity and vanilla characters. With sheer fruit intensity and ample structure this wine has aged well. A worthy winner.
