The T-Five is a 300m dive watch in grade 5 titanium, and its case measures 39mm across with a 45.5mm lug-to-lug, which is the same lug-to-lug as Trematic's 38mm Archivio Uno dress watch. The name comes from Monte Beigua, above the Ligurian coast in northern Italy, which sits on one of the richest titanium deposits in Europe. Maris is Latin for "of the sea", and T-Five refers to the grade 5 titanium of the case. Trematic is a Swiss brand founded in the early 1950s, closed during the quartz crisis and revived in 2022, and it released the T-Five in November 2025. The Shadow has a dark grey dial that darkens towards the edge, with applied wedge-shaped markers and Trematic's own Arabic numerals. I think it is the most restrained of the three colourways and the one that looks most like a 1960s skindiver. The markers are cast from luminous material, and the hands, markers and bezel all glow blue in the dark. The unidirectional bezel has 120 clicks and a matte ceramic insert set in a titanium ring, with lume at every five minutes. The domed sapphire crystal has three layers of anti-reflective coating on each side, the hexagonal crown screws down, and the solid caseback carries the Trematic logo in relief. Inside is the La Joux-Perret G101, a Swiss automatic running at 28,800 vph with 24 jewels and a 68-hour power reserve. That means you can take it off on Friday evening and it will still be running on Monday morning. It comes with two black FKM rubber straps, a hybrid strap with waterproof fabric bonded to the outside and a titanium deployant clasp, and a tropic-style strap with a sandblasted pin buckle. Both are 20mm at the lugs tapering to 18mm, with quick-release pins, so swapping between them takes a minute and needs no tools. The case is 11.3mm thick and 13.8mm including the domed crystal. The cast markers on the Shadow glow less brightly than some cast lume, although the dial stays easy to read in low light, and on a dial this dark I can live with that. I am an authorised Trematic dealer, and this one is new and unworn, supplied direct by Trematic. It comes with Trematic's five-year warranty from the date of purchase, and the photos are of this exact watch. Included: the watch on its black FKM hybrid strap, the black tropic-style strap, the Trematic presentation box, the certificate of authenticity, the warranty card and the operating instructions.
