A single leaf, pleated into a wide fan, every segment pointed, every fold casting its own line of shadow. We didn't imitate the leaf. We kept it. Dried slowly, left in its own cream tone, each fan a little wider or softer than the next. The 35cm, five in a low vase, overlapping. The 55cm, five in a tall vessel, rising at uneven heights.
