Compare all six Futu models How it works Open where it matters, complete underneath A back that breathes The back of the 1100 is a single knitted FutuKnit mesh. Air passes through it, so your back is not pressed against a closed, padded surface all day. It is the obvious Futu for south-facing offices, summer heat and anyone who simply runs warm. HÅG inBalance® Seat and back move together around a balance point, up to 20° forward and 14° back. You set the tilt tension to your weight and can lock it; leave it free and the chair follows you as you lean in to type or back to read, so you keep moving without thinking about it. Seat height and depth from the seat Both are set without standing up. The 37–45 cm depth range lets a shorter and a taller colleague share the same chair, and the standard armrests adjust in height and width. The optional lumbar support sits behind the knit: it shapes the mesh without closing it. Lumbar support — an option on the 1100 On the 1100 the lumbar support is a choice, not a given. Add it in the configurator and it slides over 170–225 mm behind the mesh to meet the curve of your lower back. Leave it off and the tensioned mesh supports the back on its own. Not sure? Seat upholstery The seat is where you choose The mesh back comes in one of seven FutuKnit colours. The seat is upholstered separately, and that is the choice that sets the price of an 1100: Flokk groups seat coverings by price, and the configurator above shows the effect live. Group 1 — Cura Loop and Xtreme, both 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. Cura Loop Grey is the default seat. Groups 2–3 — New Zealand wool: Select (tight relief weave) and tweedy Capture. Groups 6–7 — chrome-free semi-aniline leathers: Paloma Soft and Elmosoft. 42 seat colours in all, the same collection as the HÅG Creed. See the full fabric overview. Configuration What to decide at order time Everything below is a choice in the configurator above. The lift and the base finish are the ones that are awkward to change later. HÅG Futu mesh 1100 options Option Worth knowing Frame Black, or silver. Armrests and plastic parts stay black either way. Mesh back colour Seven FutuKnit colours, Night to Straw. Mesh and seat are chosen separately. Armrests None, standard (height and width), or 3D, which adds depth and rotation. Standard armrests are included in the price shown; 3D costs extra and is the one to specify for NPR 1813. Lumbar support An option at extra cost. Can also be fitted later as part 213184. Gas lift 150 mm for a 40–55 cm seat, or 200 mm for 45–64 cm (a small extra cost) at high or sit-stand desks. Base Ø730 mm aluminium in the frame colour; black plastic at no extra cost; or polished aluminium at extra cost. Castors and glides Black universal castors for every floor are standard. Grey universal castors are available with any frame and base. Glides instead of castors if the chair should stay put. Environment The HÅG Futu EPD (NEPD-7230-6643-EN, EN 15804+A2, verified by EPD Norway) gives the 1100 its own figures: 41.8 kg CO₂e cradle to gate and 44% recycled material, without armrests or packaging, with a 15-year reference service life. The aluminium is 100% recycled, and the chair is built in a factory certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. Lead times Every 1100 is built to order, because the seat is upholstered in the fabric you pick. 4–6 weeks, as shown in the configurator for the 1100. The 1100 has an open FutuKnit mesh back that air passes through; the 1200 has a closed knitted back over a moulded shell, which feels warmer and more enclosed. Seat, mechanism and adjustments are otherwise the same. Does the HÅG Futu 1100 have lumbar support?As an option. Add it in the configurator and it adjusts over 170–225 mm behind the mesh. It can also be fitted later as part 213184. The 1200 has lumbar support built in, with a 155–250 mm range. What is the difference between the HÅG Futu 1100 and the 1100-S?The seat. Decide at order time: a lift can be replaced later as a spare part, but it is simpler to order the right one. Which castors should I choose for the HÅG Futu 1100?The standard black universal castors work on all floors. Grey castors are available with any frame and base. Glides replace the castors if the chair should not roll. Does the HÅG Futu 1100 meet NPR 1813?Specify it with 3D armrests. NPR 1813 is the Dutch practice guideline for office chairs, and the 3D armrests add the depth adjustment and rotation it asks for.
