JIANGXI Oriental Lacquer Trunk c.1920

Traditionally, Chinese trunks were used to store clothing, textiles and treasured possessions, often forming an important part of the household. The JIANGXI retains this practical appeal, with a spacious interior and a particularly clever hinged lid that opens three-quarters of the way back.
