Creature from the Black Lagoon - Commission

Commission based on the original done for the livestream. Steve painted this Creature from the Black Lagoon live on his October 3, 2026 YouTube stream, the one that kicked off Universal Monsters Month. He put the reference up, set the clock for one hour, and painted it in watercolor while everyone watched. The Gill-man comes right at you, claws open, with glowing orange eyes and lips. His dark blue scales sit on top of swirling rings of water. Steve kept almost the whole painting in blues, so that little bit of warm orange really jumps out. It is signed "S. Rude Oct. 2026" along the bottom. Original watercolor painting, one of a kind Size: 11 x 15 inches Paper: Fabriano cold press Painted live on Steve's YouTube stream, October 3, 2026 Signed by the artist, Steve Rude RDO-CCD1
