POLYCURE DURAPOL 5841-3 Silky Satin is a premium single-pack, moisture-curing polyurethane designed to provide a durable, highly abrasion-resistant finish for interior timber surfaces. Its silky satin sheen enhances the natural beauty of timber while delivering excellent flow and levelling for a smooth, professional result. Suitable for use on timber, particleboard, and cork flooring, DURAPOL can be used as a complete coating system and may be applied over itself without the need for a separate sealer. Drying Time Hard Dry: Overnight Full Cure: 10–14 days Clean Up Polycure Super Cleaning Solvent Surface Preparation Proper floor preparation is essential for achieving the best finish. Fill all nail holes with a suitable water-based timber putty and allow to dry. Sand uncoated floors using 120–150 grit sandpaper or screenback on a flexible pad until the surface is uniformly smooth and free from scratches, nibs, or raised grain. Vacuum thoroughly to remove all dust and debris. Avoid scratching the prepared surface before coating. Mixing Stir thoroughly before use. Recommended Application Tools 6mm nap roller or mohair applicator High-quality brush for cutting in Application Instructions Timber Flooring Apply a liberal first coat of DURAPOL Silky Satin or FASTASEAL 3030, 3535, or 3540 Sealer using a 6mm mohair roller and quality brush. If using FASTASEAL, allow approximately 45 minutes drying time before sanding. For all other coatings, allow to dry overnight (minimum 8 hours, maximum 24 hours). Apply a second coat of DURAPOL Silky Satin and allow to dry overnight (8–24 hours). Sand thoroughly with 150–180 grit sandpaper or screenback to remove nibs and raised grain. Vacuum all sanding dust.
