Epiphone ~ ET-270/1802T ~ Made in Japan ~ 1971

The Epiphone ET-270/1802T is a fantastic instrument, they were made in the Matsumoku factory, and were the first solid bodies produced for Epiphone in Japan. Kurt Cobain famously played one of these, and here's why! This guitar has two copper plated high output single-coils, with a very vintage voice. The bass boost switch turns this guitar from a twangy surf machine, to a grungy, dark toned monster that works superbly distorted, and still keeps a surprising clarity! The body is solid piece of unspecified native Japanese hardwood in cherry Red, with a bolt on three piece maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard.
