Moombaki – Where the River Meets the Sky

The River Touching the Sky Across Boodja, the river winds gently through Country, carrying water, life and stories. As the sun rises, the blue river reflects the colours of the sky until it feels as though the river reaches up and touches the heavens. The flowing blue pathways in this artwork represent the river’s journey, connecting the land, flowers and all living things. The bright flowers surrounding the water bloom like little bursts of colour, reflecting the beauty that grows wherever the river travels. In the quiet moments of dawn, the sky and river become one — water below, sky above, connected by light. The river reminds us that Country is connected: the water, the land, the sky, the flowers and the people are all part of one living story.
