The inverted design holds more damper oil to help shed heat, keeps that oil further from brake heat, resists side loads better and reduces unsprung weight for a quicker suspension response. The larger body also protects the shaft seals from premature failure, and an aluminium ring seal keeps out corrosion and debris. Damping is adjustable through 33 levels from the bottom of the coilover, with compression and rebound adjusted together.
