Pair of vintage bombe bedside cabinets finished with newspaper decoupage and gilt-painted edges. Each cabinet has the typical curving bombe form, two drawers with decorative metal handles and cabriole-style legs. The paper collage gives a graphic, vintage-newspaper surface and the gilt trim highlights the top moulding. Dimensions Width: 61 cm Depth: 36 cm Height: 73 cm Condition The paper collage is peeling at edges and in spots across the surface; this is noted in the supplied condition report and is visible in the photographs. There is general surface wear to the paper and gilt finish including small chips and scuffs to edges and corners. Structurally the cabinets appear sound with intact legs; one drawer is shown partly removed in the images.
