Brother PQ1600S Straight-Stitch Sewing & Quilting Machine

The PQ1600S is built for makers who prioritise speed, strength and an excellent straight stitch rather than decorative functions. Its robust construction and 1,500-stitch-per-minute speed make it particularly suited to quilting, bag making, dressmaking and heavier projects. Pin feeding, adjustable feed dogs and a flexible presser foot give experienced sewists greater control across difficult materials and changing fabric thicknesses. Key features High-speed straight stitching With speeds of up to 1,500 stitches per minute, the PQ1600S is designed for sewists who want to work efficiently without compromising stitch quality. Generous workspace The 145 × 220mm working area provides additional room for quilts and larger sewing projects, with an extra-large extension table included as standard. Pin-feed mechanism The pin-feed system helps move fabric smoothly and accurately, providing additional control when working with more demanding materials. Adjustable feed-dog height Choose from four feed-dog height settings to adapt the machine to different fabrics and sewing techniques. Free-motion quilting ready The PQ1600S is well suited to free-motion quilting, and Brother includes a dedicated free-motion quilting foot with the machine. Up to 7mm stitch length Adjust the straight stitch length up to 7mm, providing flexibility for different sewing applications and materials. Automatic thread cutter Cut your upper and bobbin threads quickly at the touch of a button, helping streamline repetitive sewing and quilting. Knee lift Raise the presser foot with your knee while keeping both hands on your fabric – particularly useful when manoeuvring larger quilts. What's included?
