Georgia-Pacific K-59 Plaster 50 Lbs. Georgia-Pacific K-59 is a pottery plaster for making slip-casting molds, press molds and other ceramic mold work. It produces dense, durable molds with smooth, pinhole-free surfaces, and is widely used as a substitute for USG No. 1 Pottery Plaster. Typical Properties Consistency: 68–70 parts water to 100 parts plaster by weight (can be reduced to 64 for stronger molds) Vicat set time: 25–35 minutes Setting expansion: 0.22–0.27% Dry density: 69–71 lb/ft³ Compressive strength: 2,000–2,600 psi Sold in 50 lb bags.
