Swell

Swell takes its cue from the natural rhythm and movement of the ocean. Its flowing, undulating lines echo the long, rolling forms of ocean swells, creating a sense of movement across the surface. The pattern is deliberately fluid rather than symmetrical, giving the design an organic quality that changes subtly as it is viewed from different angles. Hand-knotted in /sea/SILKE™, Swell allows the material itself to become part of the design. Developed predominantly from reclaimed fishing nets and post-consumer waste, /sea/SILKE is a proprietary silk-performance fibre created to combine a soft, fluid handle and subtle lustre with exceptional resilience. The result is a rug that references the sea without being overtly literal — a study of movement, material and light, inspired by the natural rhythm of water.
