This is the strongest case a document of this kind can make: it names the person, records that the wallet is under their control, and states what the wallet holds — all in one certificate, with a reference the recipient can check. The certificate records IDENTITY VERIFICATION: PASSED, together with the method used and the date of the check. How identity is checked You provide identity documents, which we examine against the originals A short live video call, so the person on the call can be matched to the document The result, the method and the date are recorded on the certificate What happens to your documents Scans and the recording are deleted after thirty days. What we keep is the record of the check — the date, the type of document, its country of issue and expiry, the method, and a cryptographic hash of each file. The hash proves later which document we examined, without us holding the document itself. This is deliberate. Identity documents are the most sensitive thing a customer can send, and the safest way to hold them is not to. What this level does not claim We record that we examined the original documents and that the person on the call matched them. We do not perform forensic authentication of documents, and the certificate does not establish legal identity or beneficial ownership in a legal sense. Anyone telling you otherwise is overselling.
