His music has been performed and recorded across the globe, known for its lyrical qualities and technical mastery of wind instrumentation. Born in New Zealand, Ben's career has seen him perform with major orchestras including the Auckland Philharmonia and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. As a composer, he has been a finalist in the SOUNZ Contemporary Award and has received commissions from leading ensembles and soloists internationally. His compositions often reflect the landscapes of Aotearoa, blending traditional Western classical structures with a modern, atmospheric sensibility. Ben is also a dedicated educator, holding positions at various tertiary institutions where he shares his expertise in both performance and creative practice.
