Oxygen E/D -Cylinder Cart

A lightweight, easy-to-maneuver cart designed to safely hold and transport a single Size D or Size E medical oxygen cylinder — giving patients on supplemental oxygen the freedom to move through their home, to appointments, and around the community without struggling to carry a heavy tank by hand. Oxygen cylinders — even the portable E-size tanks commonly used at home — are heavy, awkward, and genuinely dangerous to carry without proper support. A cylinder that falls or tips over can damage the valve, causing a sudden, uncontrolled release of pressurized oxygen, which is a serious safety hazard. This cart eliminates that risk by holding the cylinder securely upright in a stable base at all times. The handle adjusts from 38.5 to 43.25 inches to suit most heights, allowing patients and caregivers of different sizes to push or pull the cart comfortably without bending or straining. Large composite wheels roll smoothly over most indoor surfaces — hardwood floors, tile, low carpet — and handle minor threshold bumps and uneven surfaces without tipping. A front fork at the base provides additional forward stability. At just 4.3 to 5 lbs, the cart itself weighs almost nothing and can be carried in one hand when not in use. It folds flat for storage in a closet or vehicle. The attractive silver vein finish looks far less clinical than standard institutional equipment — an important consideration for patients using oxygen equipment in their everyday living space. The base knob secures the cylinder firmly in place during movement, preventing it from rattling, tipping, or sliding while the cart is in motion. A hook on the frame provides a convenient place to hang a nasal cannula, tubing, or personal items during transport.
