2024 SLO Coast Chardonnay

Our 2024 SLO Coast Chardonnay is primarily composed of Chardonnay from Golden Bluff, a very cold-climate vineyard we farm on the southern-most end of the appellation. It is situated a mere 3 miles from the ocean. We also included a small amount of Chardonnay from Coquina vineyard of Rancho Arroyo Grande. Yields in 2024 were quite low for white grapes, so we elected to combine both sites after pressing and fermented them together in our 1200L Stockinger cask. The Chardonnay blend was aged on its lees for a total of 18 months to give the wine time to develop a bit of richness and added complexity, while maintaining the fresh, energetic acidity natural to both sites.
