It should be placed in window or middle seats in center rows. Usage during take-off or landing is prohibited. Child seatbelts must remain fastened at all times during all flights. An infant extender belt can be requested if needed to keep the seatbelt secure for small passengers. Aircraft are private property, and airlines decide what is allowed on their flights. Fully stretch out the Plane Pal with large valves open for faster inflation. Make sure the smaller (clear) valves are open, and the larger (black) valves are closed to prevent air escaping during inflation. Step 2: Position the Plane Pal on the floor between your child’s seat and the seat ahead. Depending on space, use it upside-down, right-way-up, or turn lengthwise in bulkhead or bassinet rows. Always place valves on the aisle side for easy access. Inflate the Plane Pal to fill the space without squashing it. Step 3: Connect the hose to the two-way pump and use the larger adaptor for inflation. Ignore the pointy adaptor as it is not for Plane Pal. Plug the adaptor firmly into the black valve on the bottom section. Using both hands, extend and depress the pump fully. Inflate until firm but comfortable. Repeat for the top section and secure the clear valve plugs. Your child is now ready to recline and snooze safely. Keep their seatbelt fastened at all times in case of turbulence during the flight. During long flights, air pressure changes may cause slight contraction, so topping up the Plane Pal with air may be needed occasionally. Deflation and Packing Plane Pal features rapid deflate valves. Pull the larger black valves open and apply pressure to deflate quickly in seconds. Roll the Plane Pal starting from the end without valves. Secure with the Velcro strap and place it inside your Plane Pal bag. FAQs & Product Details What does it come with? The full kit includes an inflatable pillow, pump, carry strap, and carry bag. The pillow only option contains the inflatable pillow and carry strap. Will Plane Pal fit all plane seats? Plane Pal fits most economy, bus, and train seats. It comes in 3 sizes and can be used upright or upside down in different seat spaces. It usually sits flush with your child’s seat. You can adjust inflation levels for a snug fit. Plane Pal can be used in bulkhead or bassinet rows by turning it lengthwise. For extra large seats, you may use two Plane Pals. See Instagram for examples. Who can use a Plane Pal? Designed for children aged 2-8 years, Plane Pal lets kids stretch legs or lay flat. Adults can also use it by crossing legs or setting legs to one side. Raising legs may improve comfort. Can infants use Plane Pal? If infants have a seat, Plane Pal is effective if used correctly. It is crucial to keep their seatbelt securely fastened and monitor closely to avoid falls. Dimensions & Weight When inflated, Plane Pal measures 57cm x 47cm x 37cm and weighs 900 grams (0.9 kg). A deflated Plane Pal in its travel bag is about 36cm x 17cm x 8cm. The hand pump measures 29cm x 9cm x 9cm and weighs 220 grams. The full kit weighs 1.3 kgs packaged together. Maximum weight capacity The maximum weight capacity is 90 kg. How many Plane Pals should I buy if I have multiple kids? For relaxed travel, buy one full kit per child, but one pump is enough. The 'Plane Pal Pillow' is a reduced-price option without pump or bag. Carry both pillows in one bag with the pump inside your carry-on. How do I inflate Plane Pal? It comes with a pump but can be inflated manually by blowing it up. You may need to top up during the flight due to air pressure changes. Plane Pal is made to handle pressure variations well. How long does inflation and deflation take? Inflation takes 2-3 minutes and deflation about 3 seconds. Can I inflate without the pump? Yes, manual inflation is possible.
