For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this one-owner 1967 Fender Telecaster. Purchased new from Chuck Levin's in Washington, D.C. in 1967, this Telecaster was used only lightly as a backup instrument before its owner left for college in 1970. Since then, it has remained stored in the case in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment, emerging today as an exceptionally original and remarkably well-preserved example of a late-1960s Telecaster. In addition to this Tele, the original owner also bought a new Fender Princeton in 1966. This Princeton (pictured) is likewise in exceptional condition and available at Garrett Park Guitars. Interested? See it here. Finished in Blonde, the guitar weighs a comfortable 7lbs and retains all of its original components throughout. The maple cap neck features a medium C profile, original narrow-gauge frets, F-stamped tuners, and the comfortable feel that has made Telecasters a staple of working musicians for generations. Electronically, the guitar remains completely original, including its grey-bottom single-coil pickups, CTS potentiometers, cloth wiring, and three-way switch. The pickups measure a healthy 6.14kΩ in the bridge position and 5.98kΩ in the neck position, delivering the clear, articulate voice and unmistakable twang that define the classic Telecaster sound. Condition is excellent both cosmetically and structurally. There are no cracks, breaks, repairs, or modifications of any kind. The finish remains exceptionally clean, with only minor color transfer from the interior of the case visible on the back of the neck and near the rear strap button. In a remarkable testament to its preservation, the guitar still wears the flatwound strings installed during its last restringing, likely sometime around 1970. This beauty came from the original owner along with a 1964 Fender Princeton Amp in near mint condition with cover.
