Antique 15ct Rose Gold Fob Chain, Circa 1900.

A handsome piece of antique gold work, this fob chain dates to around 1900. Crafted in 15ct rose gold, it has the warm, slightly deeper colour characteristic of the period — quite distinct from the brighter tone of modern rose gold. Long slit and round wire links alternate throughout, broken up by round links housing a running swivelling T-bar, a running link and three oval chain links below. Two original carbine clips complete the piece, both fully functional and very much intact. Every component, including the T-bar and both clips, carries its original stamps, a reassuring sign of authenticity and quality. At 44.5cm it is a very wearable length, and with all its original fittings present and correct, it has arrived in remarkably complete condition for a piece of its age.
