Framework 105
Framework 105 is the latest edition of Parsons School of Design's annual publication documenting the work, people, and activities of the Communication Design programs during the 2025–2026 academic year. Spanning more than 400 pages, the volume brings together student projects, typefaces, faculty profiles, program information, courses, events, and departmental archives from the AAS, BFA, and MPS Communication Design programs. New writing by design critic, educator, and author Elizabeth Goodspeed opens the publication, providing a contemporary perspective on graphic design and communication culture, informed by student perspectives, alongside extensive documentation of student work produced across the department. The volume functions simultaneously as a yearbook, archive, and record of one of the largest communication design programs in the United States. Designed by 908A (E Roon Kang and Andrew LeClair), Framework 105 captures a particular moment in the evolving life of the Parsons Communication Design community, preserving both the work itself and the broader network of students, faculty, courses, and activities that shape the program. The Framework series is notable as it examines the evolution of a specific U.S. design curriculum, serving simultaneously as a timely reference point for considering how visual communication is taught and practiced today, and an important record of student interaction with technology, society, and culture.
