Fashion Design Portfolio Adobe I - Intensive

In this 2-week course, students will learn one of the foundational skills of a Fashion Designer: How to create a garment flat or sketch in Adobe Illustrator CC. A flat is a basic digital sketch that displays a garment as if it were laid "flat". It's used to communicate your design idea technically - whether that's to a patternmaker, technical designer, merchandiser, or factory. Garment flats are also required for tech packs (technical packages) or fashion design portfolios. In addition, students will learn how to create fabric renderings, work with color, and develop a complete fashion portfolio, including mood boards—preparing them with industry-ready presentation skills.
