Vintage French M47 army jacket - herringbone twill - 1950s military - 47” chest

A French cotton M47 field jacket, dated 1957. Noted flaws - uneven faded colour throughout, various ingrained marks and small frays throughout, various areas of machine repairs throughout, pin prick holes and loose threads from a removed patch at the upper left sleeve, some wear and marking at the cuff areas, the original shoulder epaulettes have been roughly removed, missing one of the storm flap buttons under the collar - please see photos. Freshly laundered, button over cuffs, two button down chest pockets and two hand pockets, drawstring waist inside, storm flap under the collar, handwritten name and date inside the back, solidly well made jacket, great fading, suitable for everyone. Measurements taken lying flat - Pit to pit - 23.5” (47” doubled) Shoulders - 19” Arms - 22” Length - 27” Please check your measurements carefully!
