Zanafi rugs come from the Ouarzazate region of Morocco — a high-desert landscape where Amazigh weavers developed a distinctive flat-weave style defined by tight, rhythmic stripes in earthy, sun-faded tones. The technique produces a dense, durable textile that has been central to Moroccan domestic life for generations. This lumbar pillow is cut from an authentic vintage Zanafi rug and finished by hand in our Marrakech studio. The stripe pattern is original to the weaver and the colors come from natural and traditional dyes. No two pieces will have the exact same combination. A lumbar pillow adds both comfort and structure to a sofa or chair. The Zanafi's horizontal stripes make it a versatile pairing for solid upholstery, linen bedding, or other patterned Moroccan textiles.
