This pair of vintage mid century modern white Barcelona chairs designed by Mies van der Rohe were manufactured by Knoll International, Inc. circa 1970. This iconic Bauhaus chair originally designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1929 for the Barcelona Pavillion exhibits “functional minimalism” and with a clean, simple profile the Barcelona chair epitomizes early 20th century modernism. The Barcelona chair combines elegant design with premium materials, exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. This pair of vintage lounge chairs feature a heavy, polished chrome steel frame and are upholstered in the original white leather with tufted buttons and cowhide belting leather straps. These timeless and versatile chairs pair well with a wide range of decor styles from mid century modern to traditional to contemporary; the perfect set for office or home. Original Knoll International, Inc. tags attached to bottom cushion of both chairs. CONDITION Good vintage condition with an overall vintage appearance and general wear and aging to original leather upholstery including areas of surface crackling.
