2022 brought us a warmer, drier year, and that heat is reflected in this bottle of Petite Pearl Reserve. Using a 50/50 combination of brand-new Canadian Oak barrels and repurposed Have Hill Whiskey barrels, this wine is loaded with aromas and flavours of complex brandied cherries, blackberry, and plum with hints of caramel, vanilla, cigar, anise, and almond. There are abundant soft tannins, with fullness and structure in the mouth, with a long, silky finish. There is an excellent balance of acid, tannin, and alcohol.
