Arturo Arango
Arturo Arango is part of Colombia’s new wave of producers redefining quality coffee. After studying agroindustries in Argentina, Arturo returned home inspired by the specialty coffee movement. In 2015, he bought El Paraíso, a 25-hectare farm in Barcelona, Quindío, where he began the hard work of renewing old coffee trees and planting high-quality varieties like Caturra, Costa Rica, and Java. This microlot is 100% Caturra, grown at 1,300–1,450 meters in volcanic soil. Cherries are handpicked, floated, and fermented underwater for 30 hours, then gently washed and dried under controlled conditions. The result is a vibrant, clean cup that reflects Arturo’s meticulous approach—full of character and crafted with purpose.
