Acting of any variety is, at its core, a celebration of what it is to be human. It is a celebration of our light, our dark and all frequencies in between. Exploring these energies is Andrea Toyias’ biggest passion. As the Senior Casting and Voice Director at Blizzard Entertainment, it’s Andrea’s job to find the beating heart behind every line and every character. A script is just words on a page until the actor comes in and breathes life into it. Andrea’s focus is to help actors find the connective tissue between themselves and their character for that is where the magic lies. And that is where the artistry of being a voice actor is truly found. Since founding the voice over department at Blizzard, Andrea has spent her time working with actors around the globe in order to tell stories of bravery in Diablo, to create memorable moments in World of WarCraft and to enliven tales of inspiration in Overwatch. In all that Andrea does and with all whom she works with, her goal is always to chase the chills so that we can be reminded to celebrate the power of humanity whether in life or in video games.
