Standing proudly on Crest Avenue between Lutz and Elder, this Champion American Elm has been holding court for well over 120 years — stretching 105 feet into the sky with a trunk circumference of 170 inches. It’s not just big. It’s resilient. Carefully treated and preserved to withstand Dutch Elm Disease, it’s a living piece of local history that could’ve easily been lost. This artwork is my tribute to that quiet greatness — the kind that doesn’t shout, but simply stands. Season after season. Year after year.
