Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Good practice in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) helps create respectful, inclusive and effective environments across charities and community organisations. This live session introduces key EDI concepts, explores everyday challenges such as unconscious bias and microaggressions, and supports delegates to build confidence in inclusive behaviours and constructive responses to discrimination. This course is suitable for staff and volunteers at all levels, including Managers, Team Leads and Trustees who want to strengthen their understanding and practice of inclusion. No prior EDI training is required. By the end of this session, you will be able to: Have a good foundation of knowledge and awareness of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Understand why EDI is important Understand how EDI may relate to the work you do Be more aware of your own and others’ unconscious bias Understand the role of active allyship Inclusive practice contributes to better teamwork, stronger engagement and a culture where everyone feels respected and able to contribute their best.
