Original Cyanotype on Paper 15 x 22"

A monstera leaf fills the entire composition, its iconic splits and fenestrations extending beyond all edges of the paper. The leaf glows in the most brilliant, luminous powder blue and near white at the center, with deep midnight navy splits radiating outward like rays of light. Gold star details are dotted along the central stem, drawing the eye down through the heart of the leaf. The deep navy background frames the leaf with a bold, graphic contrast, making this one of the most striking and clean pieces in the collection. Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
