Delphinium

Delphinium (often called larkspur) is a genus of showy, tall perennial flowers renowned for their intense true-blue shades, as well as purples, pinks, and whites. Often called the "Queen of the Border," these dramatic plants can grow up to 6–8 feet tall, blooming from early to mid-summer. They are "diva" plants requiring staking, rich soil, consistent moisture, and cooler temperatures to thrive, often acting as short-lived perennials in hot climates.
