FACULTY Twyla Sampaco DATE / TIME August 9, 2026 | Sunday 12:30-5:30pm TUITION $145 + tax Payment & Refund Policy Scholarship Opportunities FORMAT In-person, enrollment is limited to 8 students LEVEL Intermediate PREREQS Introduction to Film Scanning or Film Scanning with Negative Supply Capture workshop This workshop dives deeper into more specific scanning techniques and best practices to get sharper, higher resolution scans with the equipment available at PCNW. TOPICS INCLUDE Fine-tuning your digital camera capture system and tethered capture workflow Nikon Coolscan LS-9000 dedicated film scanner with glass negative holder Wet mount scanning for flatbed and digital camera capture Creating an archiving system that connects your digital files to the corresponding physical film Prerequisites: Intro to Film Scanning workshop or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom is required. This workshop will use the Mac OS interface for all programs. This workshop fulfills the scanning orientation requirement for DIY scanner use at PCNW.
