The trail winds through towering cedar and fir, their trunks darkened by rain and draped in thick green moss. The forest floor is soft beneath your feet, tangled with roots and ferns, while a cool mist hangs in the air beneath low grey clouds. As you walk deeper into the woods, the quiet is slowly replaced by the steady, powerful rhythm of the Pacific. The forest suddenly breaks open to the rugged shoreline, waves ripple and crash over dark rocks, sending salt spray into the air as the tide pulls across the pebbles.
