The resin is formulated and manufactured to meet the relevant requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation 21 CFR 177.1500 and the EC (European Commission) Directive 2002/72/EC (previously 90/128/EC and amendments). All additives used in this material are sanctioned for use in food-contact materials by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The EC Directive (Annex III) lists a Specific Migration Limit (SML) for the following materials that may be contained in this resin: hexamethylene diamine. There are no limitations placed on the use of this material for food contact applications other than what is suitable for the intended purpose.
