Aerobic Washed Inca Gesha / SL9 by Hugo Pareja, Cusco, Peru
A high-elevation Gesha from the mountains of Cusco. This coffee comes from Hugo Pareja’s farm Bella Vista in Inkawasi, where coffee is grown at over 2,200 meters above sea level. At this altitude, the cherries develop slowly — building clarity, structure and aromatic depth in the cup. The profile is floral, bright and quietly expressive. Taste description: In the cup, you’ll find notes of citrus and soft stone fruit, layered with a gentle sweetness and a delicate floral lift. The acidity is clean and vibrant, supported by a light, tea-like body and a refined finish. This lot is processed using a washed method, with a short aerobic fermentation followed by careful drying on raised beds — preserving clarity and balance. Hugo Pareja has been growing coffee since his youth, continuing a family tradition while gradually refining quality through improved picking and processing. In recent years, his work with Gesha selections adapted to the local environment has begun to show its full potential. A coffee shaped by altitude, patience and place.
