This Is WineSpark - Heatwave Edition
I’ve picked out a selection of the best wines for this weather, and put them in a 6-bottle case. In it you’ll get: Château Grand Boise Rosé 2025 - The only wine for it. A high-altitude, old-vine rosé from steep terraces on the Mont Sainte-Victoire in Provence. Expect fresh raspberries, cranberries and juicy peaches from this crisp and completely delicious drop (12.5%) A Coroa Godello 2024 - from the magical Valdeorras region of Galicia (where I’m going tomorrow), this is one of our most popular wines, and Jancis Robinson can see it too - calling it ‘already a joy to drink … very refreshing’ (13.5%) Evoi Margaret River Chardonnay 2023 - from one of the best vineyards in Margaret River - this is a rich and refined Chardonnay, full of classic stone fruits, great texture and a lovely nutty finish. It's sold out in Australia, and for £21 in the UK you just can't get this quality of Chardonnay anywhere else (13.5%) Domaine Nicolas Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge 2024 - picked from 60 year-old vines from a small vineyard called En Château, and aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak for extra texture and richness - sacrilege for this part of France, but it works! (13.5%) Meltwater Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2024 - all the fruity intensity of a good Marlborough, with the finesse and smooth texture of a great Sancerre (13%) Grasshopper Rock Central Otago Pinot Noir 2022 - silky, vivid and smooth Pinot Noir from one of Central Otago’s best. And don’t just take my word for it… Decanter gave it 94 points and Robert Parker gave it 95 - both outstanding scores for wines from around here. (13.3%) P.s. If you’d like to build your own case, I’ve added these wines on a page here.
