Statice from Tissue Culture- Sinuatum types

New for Fall 2026 from HilverdaFlorist! Limonium sinuatum Wings® series. HilverdaFlorist is a well respected Dutch flower breeder and we are thrilled to have access to these world class genetics! We have offered Tissue Culture Limonium in the spring for the last 2 years, but this is the first chance to fall plant fancy Limonium, and our first offering of the lineup from HIlvderdaFlorist. L. sinuatum is the traditional "statice" type of Limonium sold fresh and dried all over the world. But there is nothing basic about these varieties. These plants get huge. They easily produce 20-50 stems per plant. The stems they produce are taller, thicker, and the flowers themselves are fuller and bigger. They are leaps and bounds above seed grown strains and come in one of a kind colors. Traditional florist shops are familiar with "Tissue Culture" statice, and it is often marketed as such in the floral trade. This term is synonymous with quality. Culture- Space 12 to 18" apart. All Limonium need a couple of weeks of cold weather (35-45F) to initiate flower buds. This should happen naturally when planting in the fall. The goal is to establish a large crown of foliage over winter to support flower growth in the spring. Remove the first few stems as they appear to encourage strong vegetative growth. They will continue to produce flowers until extreme heat shuts them down, which never happened in our trials. They were still blooming in October. Grow in well drained to sandy soils.
