Basic Bookmaking Intensive Workshop

Introductory, 2-Day Workshop Beginners Bookmaking workshop will guide you through the creation of three simple books. Introducing terminology, and basic tools, you will experience how to successfully design and build the pamphlet, coptic, and stab bindings. Discover how to design with paper and book cloth, unlock techniques for proper gluing, folding, and sewing while creating unique handmade books. In this is a 2-day workshop, (4 ½ hrs ea), Terri Thoman will guide you through this very hands on experience, helping you to fully understand what, why, and how you can create book forms. The goal is to build a foundation, create confidence, and open the doors to a continued exploration of Book Making. All of the tools and materials are supplied, there is a $40 supply fee, payable to the instructor - Cash, Check, Credit Card, and Apple Pay are accepted. Eat a good breakfast, Bring a snack and beverage of choice. We do not break for lunch.
