1 yard 16 inch remnant A beautiful undyed natural Kala cotton with block printed little dots in blue, black and rusty red Kala cotton is a purely rain fed cotton indigenous to the Kachchh (Kutch) region of western India. It is grown in a sustainable way due to the resilient nature of the plant, the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are not needed. It forms a strong and coarse fibre that produces a uniquely textured cloth. This cloth would make beautiful skirts, dresses, tops and shirts. It would also be suitable for lightweight curtains. Organic Cotton, 44" (110cm) wide, 2.3 oz (79 g), India, GOTS certified Indian handlooms are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave due to their handmade nature, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.
