In this one-day workshop, Max Sconyers will help you to you experience the simple joy of transforming a freshly cut log into a beautiful, functional spoon using just your hands and a few sharp tools. Each log holds a unique spoon inside it—this class is your opportunity to reveal yours. Whether you’re new to carving or looking to deepen your skills, this workshop offers a hands-on introduction to greenwood work, rooted in the Scandinavian sloyd tradition. Alongside learning practical carving techniques, you’ll also explore the meditative, grounding rhythm of making something from nature, by hand.
